After 1/3rd of the morning service is over, the youngsters in our church leave the service, and attend `Junior Church`
This comprises
of a crèche for
the very young.
a section for the 3- 6s
a section for the 7-11s
and a section for the 11+
Teaching the children is enjoyable for both teacher and pupil alike.
We continue to learn about God together.
We use SALT provided by Scripture Union, as our teaching aid, as this program has many varied lessons for us to prepare and use during the 30 to 45 minutes we usually have with the children.
SALT 3 to 4+ and Sparklers allow young children to learn
about God in straightforward ways - using play activities, stories, games
and other exciting methods.
SALT 5 to 7+ and All Stars use children’s developing skills to help them
explore the Bible creatively and actively to discover how they can follow
Jesus at home and school.
SALT 8 to 10+ and Trailblazers engage with the children’s sense of adventure
and their curiosity about life to encourage them to grow in faith.
SALT 11 to 13+ and Lazer present pre-teenagers with the challenge of having
a personal Christian faith in contemporary society.
CRÈCHE
The crèche area is available for use during the whole of the service, there is always someone on duty to look after the young ones while parents continue to worship.
Parents can stay with their children if they wish.
